Products Classification and Selection
1 Products Classification
The products can be sorted in different ways:
A. Piezoelectric chips category: The P4 series with black chips and the P8 series with yellow chips;
B. Frequency category: Low-frequency series (17 ~ 23 KHz), medium-frequency series (25 ~ 28 KHz), high-frequency series (33 ~ 60 KHz) and ultrahigh-frequency series (68-200 KHz);
C. Power Category: 50W Series (including 60W), 100W series (including 80W), and other unconventional power;
D. Shape Category: straight and horn shape.
 
2 Type  Selections
It’s very important to select the most appropriate products from numerous models according to the following instruction.
 
2.1Applications of transducers with different piezoelectric ceramic chips
A. Comparison of piezoelectric chip:
.The yellow-chip for P8 series (according to the national standard) is made of high-power piezoelectric ceramic materials with advantages of low heat, low loss of strong field and thermal stability. It’s generally suited to high-power ultrasonic emission, such as ultrasound welding, high-power cleaning, etc.
.The black-chip for P4 series of piezoelectric ceramic material has the feature of high dielectric constant, high electro-mechanical coupling coefficient. It’s suited for medium-power ultrasonic applications, such as cleaning, transmitting and receiving of sensors.
The black chip of P4 series for we are using is be with better thermal stability, higher Curie temperature (Tc = 350 ℃) and electrical& mechanical quality compared with the traditional one.
 
B.Comparison of transducers with different ceramic chips
.Transducers assembled with yellow ceramic chips: the absolute value of capacitance and the loss of strong field are low. Thus, the quantity of heat is low and working stable. And the effection is show a better stable under a  big impacted washing load status. it's  belongs to the types of in rules.
.Transducers assembled with black chips: the electro-mechanical coupling coefficient and Curie temperatures are high, so the electro-acoustic conversion efficiency is higher. And these transducers have better stability and temperature resistance compared with those assembled with traditional P4 series. The effection show higher water column and more sensible to the washing load and the vacuole is abundant touch by hand.
.Product usage occasions (recommended): high-frequency (such as 40K and above) or low-power transducer (60W or less) , assembly with a black-chips; low-frequency or high-power transducer assembly with yellow chips.
 
2.2 Applications of transducers with different frequency
.Cleaning object is heavier or more difficult to be remove out, and blast injury to the the surface  could be ignored , they should select the low frequency range transducer. Common industry: magnetic sector, vehicle maintenance industry, textile industry and so on. Note that this series of noisy, it is best to do sound processing.
.Cleaning object are a bit heavier dirt or cleaning medium difficulty, and blast injury to the the surface could also be ignored,they should be selected middle frequency range transducer. This series of industry's most widely used common are: mechanical processing industry, electroplating industry, food industries.
.Cleaning object are dirt and lighter, easy to clean, or blast injury to the surface is be requested, should be selected in the high frequency range transducer. Commonly used in industry are: precision parts, glass, glasses, electronic components, circuit boards, etc.;
.Cleaning  object are dirt and light, easy to clean, require no any blast injury against the surface , should be selected high frequency range transducer. Commonly used in industries: semiconductors, a special high-precision parts.
 
2.3 Applications of transducer with different power
The power of transducer depends on the cubage and frequency of piezoelectric ceramic.
Considering the input drive-voltage limits, the power of piezoelectric ceramic is generally adjusted by changing its diameter based on a certain frequency.
The lateral-vibration frequency (corresponding to its diameter) of transducer should be much higher than its frequency in usage (vertical frequency) to avoid the interference of lateral vibration. Thus, the frequency limits the range of power.
 
Based on the above principles:
Transducers of 100W series or unconventional series with higher power usually are applied in low-frequency occasions; 50W or 100W series are applied in medium-frequency occasions; 50W series or unconventional series with lower power are commonly used in high-frequency occasions. 
Be noted that, in medium-frequency occasions for 50W or 100W Series, transducer of low-power should be selected as far as possible. Because more transducers of low-power are required, the ultrasonic wave is uniform, oscillator is stable and its lifespan is longer and cavitations-corrosion against the adhesive surface of stainless steel vessel is slighter.
 
2.4 Applications of transducer with different shapes
.Commonly used transducers can be divided into horn-type and straight-type according to the shape of the front radiation cover. The former is a pyramidal horn shape and the latter is the straight cylinder shape. The horn-type transducer with a relatively high impedance and wide bandwidth, so it’s more suitable for circuits and its acoustic radiation efficiency is higher than the straight-type.
.That's to say, based on same input power, the horn-type transducer can achieve higher acoustic power in the cleaning container and lower loss of the electric power of itself, therefore, the heat generated by the transducer is also lower.
Besides, if input same electric-power, the sound intensity of radiating area of the horn-type is lower than the straight-type because of its bigger radiating area, so the cavitations-corrosion to the adhesive surface of cleaning vessel is slighter. Therefore, we choose the horn-type transducer under normal circumstances. But because of the small radiating area, the straight-type transducer can generate strong sound intensity and affect farer distance, for example, when cleaning deep screw on the appropriate use of this type.
